Most older subdivisions in Novi do not have associations, but the majority of the new sudivisions built from the 1980's on do. Again the older subdivisions are more likely to allow you to have fences, where in the new Novi subdivisions most do not allow it unless you have a pool. Novi has a central shopping district that is located around I-96 and Novi Rd exit. There is Twelve Oaks Shopping Mall, Fountain Wall, West Oaks shopping area and more all in the same general vicinity. Then there are other stores near the 8 mile and I-275 interchange. Almost any big box name brand store is in Novi. There is Macy's, Best Buy, Meijers, and many more.
