Oxbow Lake homes are a mixed bag. A few of the homes / real estate on the lake are what I consider teardowns. But there are many lake front homes that have been redone or re –built. There is at least one home on the lake that is over 5000 square feet.
There are some homes that sit right on Elizabeth Lake Rd which is a busier road with limited parking. But most of the lake homes are on quiet streets.
Like I said above you can get just about any type of home you want on Oxbow Lake.

There are colonials, contemporary style homes, bungalows, ranches, and split level homes. So whatever kind of lakefront property you want you can probably find there.
I do not if there is any vacant property left on the lake, but if there is be sure to check with White Lake Township to see if it is buildable before you buy. There are some unbuildable lots on lakes in White Lake Township because of the septic system requirements.
You can see Oxbow Lake in White Lake Township right off M-59. Oxbow Lake is east of Teggerdine Rd and North of Elizabeth Lake Rd. Oxbow Lake is a private 270 acre all sports lake. The deepest point on the lake is 72 feet deep.

Oxbow Lake has a large population of swans. I am guessing over 75 swans are on the lake. The lake is part of the Huron River chain. The river flows from Pontiac Lake, Tull Lake, Oxbow Lake, and then into Cedar Island Lake.
Oxbow Lake is located in White Lake Township Michigan and the school system for the lake is Huron Valley Schools.
