Northville Trails is a very small subdivision, in fact if you didn't know better you would think Northville Trails and Parkstone subdivision were one subdivision. It does have a homeowners association. Northville Trails subdivision has about 85 homes. The homes were constructed between 1991 -1994. There are no fences allowed unless you have a pool. So if you have a dog you may want to get an invisible fence. There was a waiting list of buyers when the sub opened back in the 1990's.
The characteristics of the homes are: mostly Colonial and Cape Cod style, homes range from 2500 - 3300 square foot, brick/vinyl, brick exteriors, 3 car garages, 3-4 bedrooms, 2 + bathrooms, basements. (Some walkout)
Some of the other features in the homes are:
- Crown moldings
- Dual staircases
- Soaring ceilings
- French doors
- Skylight
- Cozy 2 way fireplaces
- Multi level decks or patios
- Cement driveways
- Sunrooms
- 1st floor laundry rooms
- Open layouts
- Large spacious kitchen with plenty of cabinets
The children in the neighborhood go to award winning Northville Schools. Many of my Michigan relocation clients want to buy in Northville because of the schools. The children will go to Winchester Elementary, Meads Mill Middle School, and Northville High School. Unless you send them to one of the many excellent private schools in the area.
The sub is on the southeastern side of Northville which makes for easy highway access to I-275. From here you can get to the airport in 35 minutes, downtown Detroit in less than 30 minutes, and about 25 minutes to Ann Arbor. The subdivision is located between 6 and 7 mile roads and between Haggerty and Northville Roads.
There is shopping galore 1 mile down the road at 6 Mile & Haggerty. If you go another mile you will be Laurel Park Place Mall. And if you are a food connoisseur you will find over 30 different restaurants up and down Haggerty Road.
