Oakland County Lake Home Selling

Here is one tip I can give any Oakland County lake home sellers.  We are selling the Oakland County Lake life style.  That future lake home buyer has a vision of living on the lake.  They have the thoughts of sunsets, warm days, cocktails with friends, floating on the lake.

So it is our job to have them put your home in that vision.  You have to embellish that vision.  So my Oakland County lake home selling tip is to dig through those photos of yours.  Most MLS systems now allow up to 20 pictures.  Here are some of the pictures I would want as your Realtor:

• pictures of people floating in the water on tubes or floats
• a picture of you boating
• the kids wakeboarding, tubing, or skiing
• you enjoying the lake with friends
• a sunset or sunrise
• pictures of the wildlife
• summer pictures
• family or friend gathering pictures

You and I are  selling a lifestyle of lake living.  The fun, the relaxation, the beauty of the lake that is what we are selling.  There are days that Oakland County lake home buyers will be coming to your home that it will be dreary, cold, or rainy.  You have to show them what your lake home looks like on a great day.

I have to put some of those pictures on the internet so people get excited about seeing your Oakland County lake front home.  I hope this tip about selling your lake home gets you looking at all your great pictures.  (PS I lost my wife to breast cancer in 2010.  When we were putting together pictures for her funeral, I regretted not taking the time to look through old pictures together)  You have had some great times on the lake, re-live some of those times with loved ones and look through your old lake pictures while gathering them up for me.
