Ridgewood Hills Subdivision Plymouth Michigan

Ridgewood Hills subdivision has a home owners association.  No fences are allowed unless you have a pool.  So if you have a dog that needs a fence you will have to get an invisible fence.  Ridgewood Hills is one of Plymouth's larger subdivisions with 393 homes in it.  The homes were constructed between 1979 - 1989. 

The characteristics of the sub's homes are:

• Mostly Colonial, ranch,  and Cape Cod style

• Formal dining rooms
• Brick exteriors & brick/vinyl & brick/wood exteriors
• 2 & 3 + car garages
• Cathedral ceilings
• 3-5 bedrooms

• Homes range from 2000 - 3200 square foot
• 2.5 + bathrooms
• Full basements
• Spacious kitchens with island

The children in the sub go to Plymouth Canton Schools   In August 2011, the Michigan Department of Education released a list of Michigan schools, ranked “top to bottom.” This annual ranking is required by federal law in order for states to receive federal education dollars. This is the second year of the requirement. The rankings are based on the following:

• Student achievement.
• Student improvement.
• Achievement gaps between students.
• Graduation rate (high schools only).

The ranking number of each school represents “percentile rank.” A percentile rank depicts the percent of schools that lie below and above a particular school. For instance, if the percentile ranking for a school is 80 percent, that means that 80 percent of the schools on the list rank below it and 20 percent rank above it. Here are P-CCS rankings:

The subdivision is just a few miles west of downtown Plymouth.  It just between Powell and Ann Arbor Rd and between Beck and Ridge.
