Saving the deal - home seller tips

When you are selling a Livingston or Oakland County home the best tip I can give you is do not dig in your heels.  If you truly want to sell your you must keep negotiating.  If it is below what you want ask yourself this question.  Do you absolutely need that dollar amount or is it just an amount you just hope to get?  The moment you quit negotiating the other party either has to accept or they walk away.

1.)  When coming back with a counter offer do not come back with a worse offer.  Don't ask for more.  If you want to get the deal closed you have to give and take.  Don't expect to get it all.
For example if you are selling a Livonia home and you offer counter offer 310,000, , and the appliances.  Don't come back after a counter offer for $280,000 if they drop the the appliances.  The appliances are not worth $20,000
2.) Be realistic.  Do you really want to sell or not?

When you  are far apart or apart on any negotiation, one of the best ways is to meet in the middle.  The words "Let's split it down the middle".  That get's so many deals to the closing table.

If the buyer is not budging on their in.  Offer a home warranty, a carpet allowance, a Lowes or Home Depot gift card.  That might get them to agree.  I hope these home seller tips help you get to the closing table.
