Trailwood Subdivision Plymouth Michigan

Trailwood subdivision is one of Plymouth's largest subs with 566 homes in it.  The homes were constructed between 1971 - 1979.  It does have a home owners association

The common characteristics of the homes are:

• 8 foot ceilings
• family rooms with cozy fireplaces
• mostly Colonial, Ranch, split level, and Cape Cod style
• formal dining rooms
• brick exteriors & brick/vinyl & brick/wood exteriors
• formal living rooms
• attached 2 & 3  car garages
• open layout between family room and kitchen
• 3-4 bedrooms
• 2 + bathrooms
• full basements
• colonial homes range from 1900 - 2900 square foot
• split level homes range from 2000 - 2400 square foot
• tudor homes range from 2100 - 2300 square foot
• ranch homes range from 1700 - 2100 square ft.

The children would go Plymouth Canton Schools if you buy a home in the sub. 

In August 2011, the Michigan Department of Education released a list of Michigan schools, ranked “top to bottom.” This annual ranking is required by federal law in order for states to receive federal education dollars. This is the second year of the requirement. The rankings are based on the following:

• Student achievement.
• Student improvement.
• Achievement gaps between students.
• Graduation rate (high schools only).

The ranking number of each school represents “percentile rank.” A percentile rank depicts the percent of schools that lie below and above a particular school. For instance, if the percentile ranking for a school is 80 percent, that means that 80 percent of the schools on the list rank below it and 20 percent rank above it. Here are P-CCS rankings:

1. m-14 at Sheldon Rd
2. m-14 at Beck Rd
3. I-275 at Ann Arbor Rd

You can get anywhere with these highway connections.  The subdivision is between Powell and Ann Arbor Rd and between Canton Center and Sheldon.
