By having a buyers agent working for you means that they are working only for you.  Not the seller.  The buyers agent is keeping your information confidential and working in your best interest.  If you go to a open house the agent is acting as a dual agent.  His first obligation is to the seller.   A buyer's agent is more likely to negotiate a better price and terms.
