You will also find fields of corn, soybeans, and wheat throughout the county.  You will find small country stores along the roads.  Lakes and forests are all over if you are a hunter or fishermen.  If you do not know Michigan has so many state, county, and city recreational lands.  The Huron River runs through the county and is great for kayaking, and canoing.  Pinckney State recreation area has hundreds and hundreds of acres for you hiking, mountain biking, and cross Country skiing pleasure.  Mt Brighton is a ski hill if you are a snow skier.  No it is not like a Colorado Mountain but it is a great place in the winter.  So if you are moving to Livingston County you will not be lacking for recreation areas to do what you are used to doing.  

You will find that crime in Livingston County is minimal.  I know some clients that leave their homes unlocked.  Yes you will have what I call random crime, but the threat of murder, rape, muggings from a stranger is about non existent.  You will probably find much of the crime would be from family or domestic issues.

So the benefits of moving to Livingston County in Southeastern Michigan is the good schools, the semi rural or country way of life, and the larger lots.  It is a great area and a great place to live.  So if you have a relocation to Livingston County or the Metro Detroit area come visit us.  You will be glad you did!
