Duck Lake is located in Highland Twp in the western part of Oakland County Michigan.  It is south of White Lake Rd, west of Duck Lake Rd, north of E. Wardlow Rd, and east of Wardlow Rd.

Duck Lake Information

Duck Lake is one of the larger lakes in Oakland County. The lake is a 253 acre lake with a maximum depth of 31 feet. Duck Lake is an all sports and private lake.

There are 161 different lakes with the “Duck Lake” name in the United States according to the United States Geological Survey. There are 30 of those lakes in Michigan, including another Duck Lake in Oxford Township; which is also located in Oakland County.

Duck Lake real estate and lakefront homes

The homes on Duck Lake consist of ranch style homes between 500 and 5000 square feet, cape cod and colonial style homes between 1400 and 6800 square feet, and also contemporary style homes between 1500 and 2800 square feet.

A majority of the smaller, cottage style homes that were built between the 1930’s and 1950’s have been torn down a rebuilt. There are very few of the smaller homes left on the lake. The larger homes were built between the 1990’s and the 2000’s. South Bayshores subdivision is on the south east side of the lake. The subdivision has larger brick colonials that sit on the lake.

Not all of the homes on Duck Lake are located on the main lake. There are some canals off the lake that allow for full lake access without the fuss and noise of being on the main lake.
