Harvey Lake is an electric motors only lake, as it is a smaller lake at 18 acres. The lake is private.

Harvey Leonard is where the lake received its name. Harvey Leonard received patents for land along both its north and south shores in the 1830's.

Harvey Lake homes are mostly a part of the Harvey Lake Estates subdivision that sits on the lake. The home association for the subdivision has a beach off of Wardlow Rd.

Nearly all of the homes on Harvey Lake are under 2000 square feet, with homes in the subdivision ranging between 1200 and 1700 square feet. The home styles on the lake are split levels, colonials and ranch homes. The east side of the lake has a few homes that sit on large areas of land.

Children who live on Harvey Lake attend Huron Valley Schools.

The lake is located in Highland Township, in Oakland County Michigan. You can find Harvey Lake north of Highland/M-59, west of Harvey Lake Rd and east of N Milford Rd.
