Highland Lakes subdivision has one homeowners association. Highland Lakes has about 332 homes in it. The homes were constructed between 971 -1990. There are several homes in the sub that back up to small lakes. It is a rolling subdivision with mature trees that gives it a homey feel.

Also right there is a coney island, Chili's, a Mexican restaurant, a Japanese restaurant, a Fridays and several other restaurants. Laurel Park Place Mall and Twelve Oaks Mall are both within a fifteen minute ride. These two malls will satisfy any avid shopper. The location of the subdivision is between 7 and 8 mile roads and between Meadowbrook and Novi Roads.
